Telemedicine and Healthcare Administration

Telemedicine as “healing from a distance” it is the use of telecommunication and information technology to provide clinical health care services to the patient. Telemedicine can be beneficial to patients in the remote region and isolated communities and it is also can eliminate the possible transmission of infectious diseases or parasites between patients and medical staff.  Physicians can gather essential medical information and make a diagnosis without patients stepping foot in a doctor office.

Telemedicine is expected to grow $35 billion industry by 2020 and be an imperative piece of modern healthcare delivery. The history of telemedicine shows that we have come so far from where we started, and yet still have a long ways to go.
